Laura Fox is an environmental visual artist with over 15 years’ experience working
in education.  Concerned with the interaction of young people’s relationship to their local environment, she is producing a body of ongoing collaborative visual work from source material collected when spending time with children and teenagers in parks and woodland in north London.

During collaboration I feel I am afforded the privilege to witness a vital, beautiful and fragile relationship.

Each footprint in the earth has an impact, and every outstretched hand that touches the trunk of a tree, all resonate and leave a trace, in both the place and with the person.

Last week I completed a Creatives in Publishing course with @johannatagada @camdenartcentre It was brilliant - so informative - covering everything from making zines, self publishing and working with large publishers and distributors - and everything in between. And completely inspiring. I have started embedding Publishing within my art practice and here is my first edition. The work has been made from a collaboration with @laurafoxartist and children and teenagers from local schools, working in the Outdoor Learning Space in the grounds of Alexandra Park. Often classes or small groups come regularly to the site, either weekly or half-termly. This gives the students the opportunity to witness seasonal changes and forge a sense of stewardship and responsibility for the rich biodiversity.
